Red Tourmaline (Rubellite) XL Tumbled Stones - 1 Pound

These polished stones are a unique mix of rubellite, quartz and feldspar which all formed concurrently. Each piece shows

all three of these minerals to greater and lesser degrees in a unique mix. Other trace minerals may be present. The crystal

structures of each is also sometimes visible, as well as a flash of light from the feldspar. Some have vugs. These are polished

to be more oval than round, so they are comfortable to hold and have more surface area to display.

These are unique and unusual, even for collectors!

Size: from about 1 - 3 inches long, and 1 to 2 inches wide. Shaped like eggs flattened on the sides. 4 - 6 pieces per pound. 

Mined and made in Madagascar.
