"Blue quartz" is the nickname given to this rare quartz aggregate that gets its blue color from the mineral dumortierite.
Considered a gemstone, it has a solid, mottled to homogenous light bluish-grey to deep royal blue with occasional
golden to brown spots, as well as black specks, lines and/or spots from other minerals. Good for every rock collection,
easy to hold, and possible to wire wrap into jewelry pendants!
Size: from about 1 to 1 5/8 inches long, and about 3/8 up to 3/4 inches thick. About 25 - 30 pieces per pound.
